Attorney Domingo Garcia Sues CBP for Abuse of Texas Man

The Law Offices of Domingo Garcia out of Houston represented Zenon Carrillo in this claim against CBP in Federal Court. Our client had been driving near Falfurrias when he was pulled over by a sheriff's deputy. Despite not having committed even a traffic or moving violation, the deputy searched our client's truck for weapons for substances. None were found and, instead of allowing our client to go on, the deputy instead called CBP to the scene as he had decied our client had failed, to his satisfaction, to show his "right to be present in the U.S."

Our client is filing a law suit now because he was beat by the border partrol agent. Our client had a gun pointed at him, was taken to a desolate area of South Texas and was made to fear for his life. After being turned over to an immigration checkpoint, and still refusing to falsely confess, our client was then refused medical care for 8 days.

If you have a loved one who was assaulted, beat up or hurt while in immigration or CBP custody, please call Attorney Domingo Garcia today.

“In response to plaintiff’s denials, defendant Santiago Perez then told plaintiff that he was going to take plaintiff to an abandoned area, where he would shoot and kill plaintiff, so that no one would ever hear from plaintiff again, and no one would know what happened to plaintiff. Defendant Santiago Perez then transported plaintiff to another location. While plaintiff still had his arms handcuffed behind his back, he threw plaintiff onto the ground and again threatened plaintiff’s life.

Carrillo demands damages from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and from Perez for “physical, psychological and mental injuries,” medical expenses, lost income, and pain and suffering. He is represented by the Law Office of Domingo Garcia, of Houston.
